The Boy
Lyrics:
There was a boy I knew, he liked to hang around.
Mostly saw him all alone but he never made a sound.
He tried so hard to be but no one saw.
He never hurt nobody and he never broke the law.
And you hurt the boy. And you hurt the boy.
You never heard the boy. And you hurt the boy.
Walked down the street one day. Some time had passed.
Saw the same boy hanging out and I never thought he's last.
His hair was rather long. He could barely see.
I laughed and shook my head, "One day, that boy will be
laughing at me!"
Shoved off and carried on. I never saw him again.
Until one day I turned on the tube and there he was again.
He was playing the guitar, strumming, and he spoke out
loud.
This time this boy wasn't alone, he was in front of a crowd.
